Coloured Label Pile

Direct thermal printing refers to the method of printing variable information without a ribbon on special materials. The information is printed via heat activating a special chemi-thermal layer on the surface of the material to turn it black. This method is primarily suited for fast and efficient production of labels used for applications such as food labelling and address labels where the shelf life of the product is relatively short. Barcodes and text can be produced economically at speed using this material. More specialised top coated grades of this material exist for applications where an extra degree of durability is required.
